Metabolomics and lipidomics strategies for clinical research and biomarker discovery

Innovative MS-based technologies are driving a remarkable transformation in clinical research and biomarker discovery. Researchers use MS as a tool to monitor a selected set of metabolites (targeted analysis) or, in a more comprehensive way, to screen all metabolites (untargeted analysis) present in a biological sample. A research strategy presupposes the choice of analytical solutions that are more appropriate for answering the biological or medical questions posed. This presentation will offer the opportunity to keep up with the state-of-the-art technology for clinical research and biomarker discovery.
