Waters Corporation launches new high-quality resolution SELECT SERIES mass spectrometry platform

Waters Corporation (MA, USA) has introduced its SELECT SERIES MRT, a high resolution mass spectrometer, combining multi-reflecting time-of-flight (MRT) technology with desorption electrospray ionization (DESI) and matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI). The use of DESI and MALDI imaging on a single platform allows for a wider range of applications for researchers. As a direct-from-sample, soft ionization technique, DESI enables studies to be performed under ambient environmental conditions, with no prior sample preparation.
