Overcoming Matrix Effects Spotlight survey infographic

As part of our Spotlight on Overcoming Matrix Effects, Bioanalysis Zone carried out a survey to assess the prevalence, evaluation and impact of matrix effects. We now have the results of our matrix effects survey! We had a great response, so thank you to everyone who took part. Check out our colorful infographic below to see how laboratories around the world are dealing with matrix effects.

As highlighted by Stacy Ho (Sanofi) in her survey results commentary, we were interested to find that the approaches to evaluate and investigate matrix effects are very consistent across the bioanalytical community. Nico van de Merbel (PRA International) wrote in his summary of the survey results that after 20 years of experience, many researchers are confident that matrix effects can be adequately handled in most cases.
