Scientific instrument and service provider Thermo Fisher Scientific (MA, USA) has acquired technological solutions company Phitonex Inc. (NC, USA), developers of a spectral dye platform for high-resolution biology applications. Termed 'Phiton', the platform offers an innovative tool for the analysis of single cells in high-resolution. Phiton acts as a structure that can maintain a higher number of fluorescent dyes. It enables rapid creation of numerous dye labels, minimized cross-excitation and reduced spectral spillover.
