INTRODUCTION
In this presentation, Liam Moran of Charles River Laboratories (OH, USA) discusses the current state, challenges and the future of oligonucleotide development and analysis. Therapies based on oligonucleotides are explored and the analytical challenges for oligonucleotide development are elucidated. An overview of the Exploris™ 240 mass spectrometer is also offered and methods for metabolite identification of oligonucleotides are introduced.
