November round-up: EBF, an author’s perspective and a festive giveaway…

Written by Georgi Makin, Future Science Group

It has come around fast, but it is now time to say a fond farewell to November and start the countdown to Christmas!

On the festive theme, we are running our ‘12 days of Christmas’ giveaway of exclusive Bioanalysis Zone content for members throughout December! Head over to our Festive page for more information and to see what treats we have in store.

November has been a very busy month for bioanalysts and conferences. For those who attended our event, ‘An evening with Bioanalysis,’ at EBF, you’ll be pleased to know that the photographs are now live.  We have also released an EBF conference report where Naamah Maundrell, Editor of Bioanalysis Zone, and Sankeetha Nadarajah, Commissioning Editor of Bioanalysis, discuss their highlights!

Looking forward, we have started to add 2018 conference and events to our events page. We’ll be adding events over the course of the year to keep you updated and would love to hear from you if you are attending any bioanalytical conferences next year. If you would be interested in writing a conference report for Bioanalysis Zone, please contact Naamah Maundrell.

As our Spotlight on emerging technologies draws to a close,  make sure you check out our latest articles from Adaris M. López Marzo (Vall d’Hebron Hospital Research Institute; Barcelona, Spain) on paper-based assays as useful tools for clinical bioanalysis; Melanie Anderson (Merck Research Laboratories; NJ, USA) on paper-based dried sampling approaches for PK analysis: limitations and possibilities; Jan Boerma (Unilabs York Bioanalytical Solutions; York, UK) and Dan Weston (Waters Corporation; MA, USA) on ion mobility spectrometry combined with high-resolution mass spectrometry: acquisition, analysis and application to drug metabolism studies.

The results of our follow-up survey on outsourcing are now published! You can find out more about the survey and view the interesting infographic, here.

And finally, make sure you catch up on our author’s perspective interviews from Bioanalysis 9(21), all of which are now live!

Season greetings from everyone at Bioanalysis Zone!
