Global Metabolic Profiling: Clinical Applications

Refer a colleague
It is arguable that the development of the ‘omics’ technologies (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabonomics/metabolomics) has been a major driver for both the conceptsof ‘translational’ and ‘personalized’ medicine. After all, only by understanding disease at a deep, molecular level is it possible to develop rational therapies, to understand how these will work in some forms of the disease and not others, and to understand where ‘off-target’ effects will result in adverse events.
