Zhuo Chen
Dr Chen is an Associate Fellow and Principal Scientist in the Department of Bioanalysis, Immunogenicity & Biomarker (BIB) at GSK. He received his BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2008 and MS in Medicinal Chemistry in 2010 from Peking University (Beijing, China). In 2016, he completed his PhD in Analytical Chemistry at Brown University (RI, USA), where his research focused on LC-MS based proteomics. Following his doctoral studies, Dr Chen joined GSK to begin his career as a bioanalyst, working in a GLP-regulated environment. With extensive experience in developing quantitative LC-MS assays for both small molecules (new chemical entities) and large molecules (peptide/protein biomarkers and native MS protein analysis), he has become a recognized Subject Matter Expert at GSK (PA, USA) for LC-MS assays and patient-centric microsampling and has received several prestigious scientific awards at GSK. Beyond the laboratory, Dr Chen served as a Bioanalytical External Study Monitor, providing support to GSK’s outsourced clinical trials in China. He has been actively engaged with Bioanalysis Zone and published papers in Bioanalysis. In 2021, Dr Chen was honored with the Bioanalysis Rising Star award from Bioanalysis Zone, in recognition of his contributions to the bioanalysis community.
