Omnia Ismaiel
Omnia Ismaiel is a Senior Research Scientist at Bioanalytical Labs, PPD (PA, USA). She is also an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Zagazig University (Egypt) and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy, Virginia Commonwealth University (VA, USA).
Omnia was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at University of Georgia (GA, USA).
Omnia received her Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Pharmaceutical Sciences and MSc in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Zagazig University. She then received a Channel Scholarship from the same university to finish her PhD research project at the School of Pharmacy, Virginia Commonwealth University.
Omnia has co-authored over 40 scientific articles and posters, and presented several lectures at different local and international conferences and events.
She has been in the bioanalytical field for more than 12 years and has many years of teaching experience. She is currently serving as a supervisor/mentor for several PhD and Master’s degree students. She is also a reviewer for more than 10 high impact peer-reviewed journals. Omnia’s research interests include bioanalytical mass spectrometry of small molecules, peptides, therapeutic proteins, glycan analysis and high-resolution MS.
