April
1–2 April: 13th European Biosimilars Congress

The European Biosimilars Congress is now in its 13th year and continues to grow in popularity. As biologics and biosimilars feature more and more so in pharmaceutical pipelines, understanding FDA and EMA regulations for successful endorsement is key.
Taking place in London (UK), the 2020 European Biosimilars Congress is set to provide a large number of keynote speakers, plenary speakers, exhibitors and back to back meetings looking to further the understanding and development of biosimilars.

16–17 April: 10th World Congress on Chromatography
COVID-19 update: in light of the coronavirus pandemic, the 10th World Congress on Chromatography will be taking place as an online event. For the latest information, visit the official event website.
Chromatography 2020 will welcome professional chemists, researchers, professors, delegates, students and business professionals from around the world to the 10th World Congress on Chromatography focusing on the theme, ‘Modernistic advancements, innovative applications and prospective approaches of Chromatography and analytical techniques.’
With 15 tracks covering all bases of chromatography, from chromatography in pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry to hyphenated and multidimensional techniques the conference is sure to provide a forum for international researchers from a wide range of analytical backgrounds.

COVID-19 update: organizers of PEGS Boston 2020 have made the difficult decision to reschedule the event. The summit will now be taking place on August 31–September 4, 2020 at a new venue, the Hynes Convention Center in Boston (MA, USA). For the latest information, please the visit the official website.
The annual PEGS meeting in Boston is likely to host more than 2,800 experts from biotech, government and academic institutions to discuss protein engineering and cell therapy. The conference promises sessions from inspiring thought leaders, in-depth training, round table discussions and the opportunity to gain insights and knowledge on the latest developments in biotherapeutics.
This year, plenary keynote speaker George Church (Harvard Medical School and MIT, MA, USA) will be delivering a session titled ‘From energy to machine learning’ and the 2020 Young Scientist keynote session, ‘the case for intelligent design in protein engineering’ will be delivered by Jamie Spangler (John Hopkins University, MD).

11 – 14 May: TIDES: oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics

This year TIDES 2020 is taking place at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston (MA, USA). As one of the largest meetings in the world of oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics, this year, TIDES 2020 is scheduled to host more technical presentations and new data than previous conferences.

May 31 – June 4: ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics
COVID-19 update: as of April 1 2020, the 68th ASMS face-to-face conference is cancelled. The ASMS board has voted to cancel the face-to-face ASMS conference on mass spectrometry and allied topics due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ASMS 2020 has been shifted to an online format. The 68th ASMS conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics is taking place in Houston (TX, USA) at the George R Brown Convention Center. This year, the conference boasts a wide variety of short courses and a plethora of oral, poster and keynote sessions.
Featured speakers this year include Patricia Beauchamp (NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, CA, USA) on Mars 2020; Heather Desaire (University of Kansas, KS, USA) on glycoprotein analysis for understanding human disease and Corinne Moss-Racusin (Skidmore College, NY, USA) on the gender bias in academic science.

COVID-19 update: BIO 2020 has been moved to an online event format in light of the global coronavirus pandemic. Click here to view the latest statement.
Hosted by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), the BIO International Convention provides members access to global biotech and pharma thought leaders. The convention is set to feature over 1,500 education sessions and ample opportunity for networking. At the time of writing, keynote speakers are yet to be announced, however, previous speakers have included Hillary Clinton (2014), Will Smith (2016) and David Cameron (2017).
With the 2019 conference and event featuring more than 150 sessions and 800 speakers, BIO 2020 is sure to include a vast array of content.

14 – 18 June: DIA Global Annual Meeting
COVID-19 update: as of April 2020, the DIA Global Annual Meeting organizing committee currently do not have plans to reschedule or postpone the annual meeting. The organizers recognize this is a rapidly evolving situation and have not ruled out changes to the event or schedule. Should the any event be altered or postponed, all participants will receive email notification. For the latest updates, visit the official website.
At the 2020 DIA Global Annual Meeting, organizers hope to allow a platform for the convergence of the latest ideas in science, technology and policy with a view to realizing opportunities for the future of healthcare.
With presentations examining topic in the fields of patient engagement, data standards, regulatory compliance, preclinical development, early phase research and more, DIA 2020 will offer a range of educational and networking opportunities for attendees.

COVID-19 update: due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, HPLC 2020 has been cancelled. HPLC 2022 will take place in the same location (Town and Country Hotel and Conference Center; San Diego, CA, USA) on 18–23 June 2022. All plenary and invited talks, short courses, tutorials, HPLC Tube contest, Separation Science Slam competition and Best Poster competition will be automatically postponed to the 2022 program.
