ABSTRACT Biomarker research has attracted the attention of scientists, clinicians, academicians, regulators and many others for at least two decades now, due to the compelling promise and the immense potential for use of biomarkers as diagnostic, prognostic and theranostic tools at the patient level and their use in drug development.
