Fan Jin
Fan took on a new role as Clinical Trial Testing Solutions (CTTS) APAC General Manager in February 2021. In this new expanded role, Fan oversees CTTS in Singapore, China and Japan. Fan was the Executive Director of China BioA. She joined Covance (Shanghai, China) in 2008, and led the growth of the China Bioanalytical Group over the past 12 years. She established strong client base with global and domestic clients and created a great reputation for quality service and scientific expertise.
Fan was the VP of Operations at a small US CRO in Shanghai, managing the operation and growth of the laboratory including bioanalytical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis and formulation development. Fan worked at Pfizer Global R&D (CT and CA, USA) for 11 years with increasing responsibilities in pharmaceutical analysis supporting IND to NDA stage projects. Fan has more than 26 years of experience in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry. Fan received a Master of Science degree in chemistry from University of Massachusetts Boston (MA, USA). She also has a Master of Science degree from Harvard School of Public Health (MA, USA). Fan is passionate about expanding the quality of healthcare services in China and global testing standards, Fan mentors early career scientists and supports regional professional networks as session chair at CBF annual meeting.
Neil Spooner
Neil Spooner is the Founder of Spooner Bioanalytical Solutions (UK), helping companies to integrate biological fluid microsampling into workflows and working with innovator companies to develop technologies and introduce them to the market. Neil also assists organisations with their understanding of emerging trends in the pharmaceutical industry and bioanalysis. Neil is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire (Hertfordshire, UK), Senior Editor of the journal Bioanalysis, Chair of CPSA Europe, Founder of the Patient Centric Sampling Interest Group and Deputy-Chair and Secretary of the Reid Bioanalytical Forum. He has published over 70 peer reviewed manuscripts and delivered over 50 podium presentations.
Eric Woolf
Dr Woolf currently directs the PK Regulated Bioanalysis Group of Merck Research Laboratories (PA, USA). He received his BA in chemistry from LaSalle College (Montréal, Canada) in 1982, and a PhD in analytical chemistry from Seton Hall University (NJ, USA) in 1986. From 1986–1990 he was a member of the Drug Metabolism/Pharmacokinetics Deptartment of Berlex Laboratories (NJ, USA). He joined Merck Research Laboratories in 1990 as a research fellow. Dr Woolf and his group have supported numerous clinical development projects that have led to the successful registration of Merck compounds. Since 1986, he has authored or co-authored over 50 research papers pertaining to bioanalysis and pharmacokinetics. His major research interests include the utilization of novel HPLC approaches in bioanalysis and the bioanalysis of unstable compounds.
