Clinical research methods are essential to our understanding of the impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection. LC-MS/MS can be used to directly detect viral proteins through selective detection of peptides derived from the viral proteins following tryptic digestion. To date, direct analysis of SARS-CoV-2 peptides has lacked the required analytical sensitivity.

In this study, SISCAPA® greatly improved the analytical sensitivity for detecting viral proteins, expanding the applicability of a LC-MS analytical method for detecting the presence of SARS-CoV-2.
